City of Buckley

maximizing the impact of a regional trail

Framework worked with the City of Buckley to create a Parks, Recreation, and Trails Plan that goes beyond the requirements of the Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) to give the City a running start in delivering a park system that amplifies culture, economic opportunity, and connection to nature. A main focus of this effort was to harness the regional Foothills Trail, which runs through Buckley’s downtown and main park node, newly named Heritage Park. Working closely with the City, we created a conceptual master plan for Heritage Park to help synthesize multiple park projects into a cohesive and legible park experience. Key to the plan are a Level of Service framework that reflects park programming, a suite of Capital Facilities projects that range in scale and typology, and accompanying maps and visualizations to spark excitement and inform project decisions moving forward.
