Visionary analysis Illuminate Middle Housing Opportunities

In partnership with ECONorthwest, Framework worked on an analysis of the physical context and missing middle housing opportunities for the City of Auburn. The Auburn Housing Action Plan (HAP) identified Auburn’s R5 and R7 zoning districts as potential zones for the implementation of middle housing strategies. Framework’s analysis selected sites based on development capacity, different geographic locations, and physical characteristics to compare and contrast missing middle housing opportunities. The analysis is intended to identify locations where middle housing strategies and code updates will be focused. The findings are presented through a series of illustrative graphics, showcasing opportunities for missing middle housing and infill developments.
