north highline design standards
growing with character
Seattle’s North Highline Neighborhood has a distinctive character that reflects its cultural diversity–with highly varied landscapes, historic buildings, and human scale architecture. As the neighborhood grows, it needs guidelines for new commercial, multi-family, and mixed-use developments in order to maintain the characteristic elements that matter most to the community. Through online surveys and engagement events, Framework’s team distilled these values and translated them into a set of design standards that is rooted in an understanding of the physical and cultural context of the neighborhood and the community’s vision for its future.
