Emily uses her mindset and training as an architectural designer to help shape regulatory frameworks that go beyond the bare minimum, leading to low-carbon built environments; dense, enjoyable urban housing; and functional, meaningful urban spaces. Over the course of several years working in an architecture office, Emily developed an understanding of how urban planning and architecture should work in tandem to shape our cities and create better living conditions. Her time working as a planner has informed her approach to well designed and thoughtful codes that utilize clear graphics to deliver a better built environment. Emily believes that everyone should have access to good space, whether that’s affordable housing or a delightful and usable public realm.
