After decades of community advocacy, ownership of the historic armory building was transferred to the City of Olympia, presenting an opportunity to transform it into the Armory Creative Campus and expand the City’s Creative District. Leading a team of architects, engineers, and arts consultants, Framework worked with the community to develop a vision for preserving the building, adapting the spaces for use by artists, and outlining models for economic sustainability and organizational partnerships. The resulting Concept Plan reflects in-depth, quantitative and qualitative analysis and presents a comprehensive vision for the Armory Creative Campus as a catalyst for creativity in Olympia.
