Railroad Avenue is an arterial roadway serving Mason County and the City of Shelton that currently acts as the primary freight mobility corridor. It was historically characterized by rail lines along the north end and main street storefronts on the south side.

The Railroad Avenue Corridor Study identifies a set of improvements that would upgrade access and connectivity, reduce barriers for all modes of travel/transit, increase walkability and bikeability, and enhance and beautify as a gateway to Downtown Shelton. This report builds on and compliments the 2015 Community Vision and Action Plan for Downtown Revitalization.
