Lakewood Station District Plan and Form Based Code

The Lakewood Station District Subarea, home to the terminus of the Sounder, is an area of opportunity for future growth and development within Lakewood’s Urban Center. As part of an interdisciplinary team, Framework worked with the City to develop a new hybrid form-based code to support implementation of the new Station District subarea plan for the neighborhoods surrounding the Sounder commuter train station. The Station District code includes new graphics specifically tailored to the district and concepts for street improvements including for residential streets, green streets, and the use of the public right-of-way to increase open space in the district. The code is expected to be adopted in early 2021
