As the effects of COVID-19 on ridership wane and the public transit system expands, it is critical to have data on how people are using our transit system so that leaders can make well-informed decisions. In response to the high demand for access to transit, Sound Transit has begun implementing parking management programs to collect data on the usage of park & ride facilities.  Framework partnered with transportation data specialists at IDAX Data Solutions on this multi-year study, which involved on-the-ground data collection to reflect the real time conditions of park & ride facilities throughout the Sound Transit system. The resulting reports, published January 2023, February 2022, and May 2021, reflect the changing conditions around ridership and will help Sound Transit understand parking needs moving forward.
